Intake and Medical Records Specialist
ConnectionsPlus Healthcare + Hospice, formerly Rockbridge Area Hospice + Mountain Regional Hospice, is looking for a full-time Intake and Medical Records Specialist.
The Intake and Medical Records Specialist is responsible for receiving and processing patient referrals and medical records information. This position also facilitates relationships, communication, and exchange of information with our referral sources and contract service providers.
Qualifications:
Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year

The Intake and Medical Records Specialist is responsible for receiving and processing patient referrals and medical records information. This position also facilitates relationships, communication, and exchange of information with our referral sources and contract service providers.
Qualifications:
- Inquisitive mind, excellent oral/written communication skills and flexibility in the changing landscape of healthcare are a must.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with capacity to the meet the public, volunteers, patients/bereaved and their families with hospitality and empathy while maintaining respect for boundaries and confidentiality.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Computer literacy in word processing, database management. Microsoft 365 and medical record experience using an electronic medical record.
- Knowledge of health insurances
- Ability to prioritize and multitask, meeting deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma with 1-2 years medical office experience preferred.

- Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm
- 6 paid holidays-holiday pay available.
- Over 2 days of PTO per month, starting on first full pay period.
